Okay, nevermind that thing I mentioned about filler episodes and bigger scripts. This is far from filler and it’s beaten the record, of course, those 90 lines of insert song lyrics helped quite a bit, so maybe it doesn’t really count. And speaking of inserts, Duskmon’s theme “Blader” is pretty cool and stuff.
Oh yeah, Tamers v2’s are up to episode 19. Which doesn’t mean much since it’s actually just 1, 16, 17, 18 and 19, but well. There would be more up but lolexams.

Man, this was a big one. I’ve been looking forward to it. I have a ton of nitpicks about all the little inconsistencies in Koichi’s evolution sequence when compared to the other children’s, but other than that, I like the way he joined the main team (even if I wish he could have had a teensy bit more bonding with Koji before declaring how much he’s “changed”). There wasn’t really any huge fanfare when Ken in 02 and the secondary children in Tamers joined their respective parties, so I was happy to see them give Koichi a “big moment” similar to Hikari’s in Adventure when Tailmon evolved.
My only nitpick: Does nobody care that Angler was hurled halfway across the freaking world? My memory’s a little fuzzy, but I can’t remember if we see him again. I know we see another Angler model, but I can’t recall if it’s the same character.
I mean, you’d think Junpei or somebody would have… y’know, acknowledged the fact that they lost their friend/transportation.
