Projects, affecting, unrelated, etc

Just a little something I’ve been keeping myself busy with lately. The game turned out to be crap and marked the death of my favorite videogame series as far as I’m concerned but it still works for making music vids, and I’d been planning this one ever since the game was announced, anyway…

Thanks to Puto for telling me about this DVD raw he found. That’s one of the 3 episodes that we used TV raws for, hopefully the other two will also show up in decent quality at some point.

And lol it’s almost 7 AM and I haven’t slept. Time to go full vampire mode during the holidays.

Yeah, don’t get too used to this. We just had a build-up of scripts with no encodes to apply them to until yesterday. =P

Today’s Huluderps:

On a completely unrelated note: please help this has been stuck in my head all day

The day Falcom Sound Team stops making awesome final battle themes is the day the world ends.

Since all of the DVD ISOs we need are up (thanks, yukimayari) we can continue with this. 40 and 41 should be up soon as well, and the v2’s of episodes 23-38 will probably be uploaded over the next 3 weeks or so.

Edit: (almost) triple release! It would have been one but Starfish and I have bad synchronization. =P

Edit 2: Oops, forgot the Hulufails:

Release: Digimon Adventure Movie v2

Since I got the DVD ISOs for some of the movies, I thought I might as well make an encode straight from those to replace the old Xvid ones.

Comparison here. The new one is 16:9 anamorphic 704×480 as opposed to the old one’s 720×416 resolution (if you’re wondering, the missing horizontal pixels are from cropping the black bars and resizing down to the nearest mod16 value, instead of resizing up again) and it also keeps some extra detail. I also tweaked the script some while I was at it. MKV version only, since there’s not much to be gained from doing another Xvid encode of this (and it’s not like quality is the priority for AVI-Xvid releases).

A v2 of the second movie will follow at some point soon, and maybe the 4th movie as well.

In this episode: Digimon politics.

And next time: FUCK YEAH THE LAST ELEMENT. Even if that marks the start of The Takuya And Koji Show.

Note: If lines with italics show up like this for you:

Then all I can say is that releases are only (supposedly) guaranteed to play perfectly on CCCP with Media Player Classic (or anything that uses the same filters). Stuff like VLC, which uses its own filters, can be incompatible with certain updates. (Scratch that, even CCCP/MPC fails if you don’t have the font installed). In any case, I’ll try reverting to the previous mkvmerge version for the next episode since the latest one apparently handles font attachments in a slightly different way, which may be what breaks certain players. You can also try installing the fonts included with the scripts.
