I guess it was about time. I probably got over 50 notification emails about deleted files over the last couple of days.

So yeah, everything other than torrents is now gone for good. Sorry, but I won’t reupload anything, the current plan is to try and finish Frontier and Tamers quickly and release batch torrents for those. I’ll make DDLs for the next Frontier episodes as we release them, but probably not for Tamers, since I don’t think I’ll be posting individual episode releases. Sucks that it’s come to this, but yeah.

Now I’ll stop being a lazy ass and start translating Frontier 44.

What the hell? Why did it happen now? I can’t believe I won’t be able to download my favorite anime from my favorite DL website anymore… :'(

I have a feeling that mediafire will be taken down soon…

Won’t even you consider using another host ie: Rapidshare/Bayfiles for future releases? Maybe rar it before releasing.

Mediafire has been sucking somebody’s cock lately, some my friends got her acct suspended, and most uploaders has stopped using mediafire amyway. Pretty much soon mediafire will be long forgotten just like filesonic or fileserve.

Yeah, Mediafire has truly gone to shit. I’m lucky if anything I try to download has not been deleted.

    Just use Megaupload.

    Oh wait…

This is a bit of a stupid question (and in the grand scheme of things, it’s pretty minor), but what does this mean for the subtitle files (for all future releases, not just Frontier)? Will they still be given direct downloads? Either way, it’s not a big deal; I’m just a tad curious.

Honestly, I don’t have any reason to use mediafire now anyway. Last few times I’ve tried to download from them, I got a malware alert from their popups.
Using torrents is a pain, but at least they aren’t likely to vanish suddenly.

You could also put code names in releases like “Digimon Zero Two 15” would be “DM02_15” and put it in rar file. Of course I suppose that they dont open the rar and play the mkv file to check its contents.

@John246l: why? They make many deletes etc. and become cleaner; like rs became cleaner, also ’cause of 30 kb/s max. DL speed (which afaik was added short time after mu’s dead).

@Anon: didn’t have such problems with mf; maybe cause of Adblock Plus or cause of jDownloader.

@Anon: they could, so one could also add passwords (yeah, annoying, but if it works)

This is why you zip up the episodes and name them something inconspicuous, like waterballs or 2002 tax returns.

That really sucks. How could they do this to us?
