I love how filler episodes have the biggest scripts. At least this one wasn’t nearly as bad as the hamburgers one. =P

In other news, we’re getting our hands on some DVD ISOs of Tamers, and since the quality gain over using the old Xvid raws is worth it, we’ll wait until the DVDs with the last episodes are up and encode directly from those for the next releases. We also have plans to re-encode the whole series for the final batch.

Now the big question is why you’re not on MSN =P

“Filler” episode? They learned something important that advances the plot of why they are going to Venus Rose….I really don’t think that classifies as a filler…

    But thanks for the release.

    • True, although that was all in the last 2 minutes of the episode, and I’m pretty sure they could have handled the plot point in another episode, without using a whole one for it. But well, it was still an entertaining episode, just a bit of a pain for a crappy translator like me. =P

lol maybe the scripts in the fillers are longer so they don’t have to animate as much fighting and such. Pretty much makes it more of a filler :P

Thanks! I’ve been holding off on watching the whole series until I can replace all the WPP files I have with these… (I did watch through the first 8-9 episodes though, and they were very good – the quality is awesome!)

Regarding the Tamers DVD-ISOs, do you know if they’re from the box set? If so, that would be great. I have the old single R2s, and I wonder how much better the video would be than those.

    • We’re getting the torrents that you uploaded to AsianDVDClub.org, actually. =P
But we actually compared them to Wild Bunch’s encodes, which supposedly are from the second, higher quality edition DVDs, and didn’t notice any difference in detail. Of course there are also other factors like x264 settings and filtering, but I’m sure the difference would still be nothing compared to the improvement from the old Xvid raws, in any case.

Yeah, video doesn’t seem to be much of an improvement between the two DVD releases. I think the people saying the box set’s video was much better might’ve been looking at the xvid raws. In fact, the singles have higher bitrate audio, even.

Oh the hamburger episode was pretty decent in my opinion…compared to that HORRIBLE Trailmon race-episode anyway. It was stupid and so predictable. In fact, a part of me prayed that “Please let someone OTHER than Kouji or Takuya win that stupid race”, but alas, no.

If there was a Trailmon with a sail Izumi would push it all the way with her wind power and she would have won. And Junpei could have EASILY beaten Raremon and use his electricity to make his Trailmon faster but nooooo Takuya HAD to win -.-
